Early this morning Jared Pike, a videographer from the School of Mechanical Engineering here at Purdue and I departed the West Lafayette area to Indy Airport bound for NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.

We will be working on several projects (both photo and video) to interview several Purdue alums!

First, we’ll talk with NASA Astronaut Scott Tingle, who graduated in 1988 with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue. Now, a NASA astronaut who is going to be traveling to the Space Station later this year for a 6 month stay aboard the orbital outpost.

Next, we will get to interview NASA astronaut Drew Feustel. He graduated from purdue in 1989 with a Bachelor’s in Earth Sciences and in 1991 with a Masters in Geophysics.

Finally, we will interview NASA Flight Director Gary Horlacher a 1989 Purdue Engineering alum.

We may even get to walk through the ISS mockup at JSC or see Mission Control.
There is going to be a Space Station pass Tuesday morning and weather looks good for it, will hopefully make a photo of it!

Headed back to Purdue Tuesday night, excited for a fun-filled trip — never been to Texas before!
